2nd Shift Production Supervisor

Volt is immediately hiring a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in Erie, PA.As a Production Supervisor, you will:

Lead a team of 3-5 machine operators

Manage all operational aspects of 2nd shift

Safety

Quality

Employee engagement

Performance

KPIs

Coordinate inventory control maintenance; perform random counts and document findings

Create and execute productivity plans to fulfill orders timely

Develop performance goals to achieve customer expectations and promote product quality

Promote a continuous improvement environment and use Lean principles to promote efficiency

This is a full time opportunity.The ideal candidate will have:

Previous manufacturing experience within a machine shop

Previous supervisor experience within manufacturing

Strong communication and people skills

Previous union experience a plus, not mandatory

Understanding of ERP software

Comfortable performing administrative tasks

Reporting

Scheduling labor hours

Spreadsheets/data entry

Minitab

Daily/Weekly meetings
