Title : Software Development Engineer III

Location : King of Prussia, PA 19406Duration : Full Time Job Type : C

Position Purpose:

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Expert Knowledge of distributed systems and expert development skills On-Prem and in Azure with the following: C#, ASP.NET, SQL, WCF, REST API, GIT, TFS, DevOps
  • A superior knowledge of programming (i.e. program design, coding, testing, debugging, etc.).
  • A superior knowledge of how the pieces of a program fit together for the purpose of meeting the requirements of an application.
  • A superior knowledge of how to document program design, coding and maintenance.
  • A strong knowledge of the relationship of how the software being used relates to the hardware being used.
  • Ability to solve problems that require extensive data gathering, investigation, review, and analysis to define the problem and then develop/implement solutions, which requires the use of complex analytical techniques and innovative thinking.
  • General responsibilities and objectives are assigned with considerable latitude for defining actions and setting priorities.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret complex business or technical subjects; must be able to discuss or explain this data with others, either internal or external to defi.
  • Full understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle methodologies and auditing requirements, including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Knowledge of financial systems preferred.
  • Ability to resolve and follow up on software support issues.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to interact well with others and form consensus.
  • Independent judgment is required.

Additional Skills/Knowledge:
  • Responsible for designing, coding, installing and maintaining software programs.
  • Responsible for analyzing, bug fixing and troubleshooting support issues
  • Responsible for assisting in the identification, evaluation, tailoring, and implementation of vendor-supplied software packages.
  • Responsible for evaluating the performance of installed software by utilizing available aids to monitor trends, loads, and growth patterns.
  • Responsible for analyzing debugging information and applying fix procedures.
  • Responsible for preparing documentation for use by computers operations, applications programming, and user personnel.
  • Responsible for providing technical assistance and information to other systems software, computer operations, applications programming, and data communications personnel at all centers with this environment.
  • Responsible for assisting the training to applications programming and user personnel in the use of software and related hardware facilities.
  • Responsible for reviewing new designs, enhancements, with system analysts and applications programming personnel for operating efficiencies.
  • Responsible for assisting in design, coding, and installation of application systems.
  • Responsible for analyzing specifications for applications enhancements for compatibility with other systems and operating guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as required.
