Our client, a leader in transport infrastructure, is hiring a Network Administrator. This individual will ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, and video and wireless network services. The position has a specific emphasis on voice engineering, which is achieved by planning, designing, and developing local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) across the organization. The ideal candidate will have of 3 to 5 years exp. both a telecommute and onsite mixResponsibilities • Manage phone system including call processing, voicemail, and contact center scripting and related end user devices and software• Interact with systems administrators and other IT operations and support staff for projects and timely troubleshooting of problems and incidents.• Manage servers, including dhcp, dns and network monitoring servers and their associated operating systems and software.• Manage security solutions, including firewall, anti-virus, and intrusion detection systems.• Manage all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, wireless access points and UPSs.• Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.• Monitor and test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.• Ensure network connectivity of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines, and other network appliancesQualifications

  • Proven knowledge of telephony systems, including Cisco Call Manager and SIP.
  • Proven experience and success with LAN and WAN design and implementation.
  • Technical knowledge of network and computer operating systems, including Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Linux and IOS.
  • Application support experience with Cisco switches, firewalls, and routers with recent knowledge of IWAN technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cisco Nexus and UCS platforms preferred.
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or similar, and/or 3 plus years equivalent work experience.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNA or CCNP preferred
