Seeking a network and computer systems manager for our industry-leading client.

This position is responsible and accountable for managing and maintaining company servers, PCs, laptops, printers, data network, telephone system and website while providing excellent customer service to all users.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Setup and manage secure, reliable and expandable firewall and Internet access, VPN system, and wireless networks. Install and manage terminal server system.
  • Manage company servers including: upgrade existing server hardware and software, configure new servers with appropriate hardware and software, integrate all servers into domain, setup secure servers for internet access, and perform backups of all servers.
  • Assist users with software and hardware; research and make hardware and software purchasing recommendations; manage and maintain internal and external web sites; maintain competence in web maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems.
  • Assemble, install, configure and test computer equipment or units of local area networks requiring use of standard interface protocols.
  • Configure and set up servers to work with various programs; install software. Ensure server backups and networked user backups are performed on a regular basis.
  • Perform preventive maintenance for computer, data communication, and/or peripheral equipment; test and adjust to appropriate standards.
  • Prepared to work other than normal business hours when necessary.

Minimum Requirements

  • Computer Science/Computer Operations Degree
  • Network knowledge and experience with TCP/IP protocols to manage and troubleshoot network environment
  • Knowledge and experience with PC hardware and Microsoft operating systems
  • Knowledge and experience with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022 and Linux server distributions. All versions of Windows for PCs (Windows XP through Windows 10)
  • Ability to work and interact effectively as a team member, with excellent communication and customer service skills (friendly, courteous and helpful). Capable to use non-technical approaches to train others in the use of computer hardware and software.
