Network Engineer/Architect

Position: Network Engineer/ArchitectLocation: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)Duration: 11 Months (W2 Contract)Job Description:Summary:Determine user requirements and design specifications for computer networks.Education/Experience:High School Degree and Bachelors degree in computer science/related field required or equivalent work experience required.4 to 5 years experience requiredSkills and Competencies:Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.Knowledge of computer hardware as it relates to data storage.Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services softwareMajor Job Duties and Responsibilities: Adjust network sizes to meet volume or capacity demands.Communicate with customers, sales staff, or marketing staff to determine customer needs.Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.Design, build, or operate equipment configuration prototypes, including network hardware, software, servers, or server operation systems.Determine specific network hardware or software requirements such as platforms, interfaces, bandwidths, or routine schemas.Develop and implement solutions for network problems.Develop conceptual, logical or physical network designs.Perform other duties as assignedMust Have Skills, Tool or Experience:• Demonstrate threat hunting experience with Python, SIEM and EDR solutions• Evaluate, respond, and mitigate alerts that originate from the SIEM and the Cybersecurity product suite, e.g., NGFWs, IDS/IPS, Anti-virus, Web Application Firewalls, NAC Solution, EDR, etc.• Demonstrate use and understanding of security technologies such as Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Forensic tools
