Are you living your life's work?Summary:The Nursing Resource Specialist ensures the smooth daily operations of the Department of Nursing at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. They support HUP Nursing leadership and staff with administrative needs such as ordering supplies and equipment, running reports, managing nursing licenses and CNA certifications, assisting on special events, projects and with employee orientation.

Responsibilities:Function as a purchase requestor for Nursing units. Work with management requests for supplies/equipment, obtain quote and submit for purchase. Follow up on purchase ETA and confirm arrival/implementation.

Assist with ordering and coordinating Capital equipment purchasing process for Nursing.

Function as liaison between Nursing and support services such as Clinical Engineering and Materials Management to assist with supply and equipment management.

Partner with Human Resources and Nursing leadership to ensure nursing licenses and CNA certifications are renewed in a timely fashion and present in employee files.

Partner with Nursing Recruitment, Nursing Education and Nursing leadership to ensure smooth onboarding of nursing staff.

Ensure employee evaluations are complete and sent to Employee Records by due date.

Provide administrative support for special projects under the direction of immediate supervisor.

Assist with coordinating special events and celebrations for Nursing.

Provide administrative support, including but not limited to setting up/attending meetings, taking minutes, and completing follow ups, for an identified Nursing Clinical Director within the Department of Nursing.

Education or Equivalent Experience:H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

3+ years Experience in a health care setting – administrative/support role

2 or 4 year college degree
