Line of Business Position Description and Responsibilities:

The Payment Processing group within Payment Services is responsible for handling Payment traffic across 20 branches within Europe, Cheque Processing for 3 branches, inclusive of ensuring that all the clearing deadlines for all currencies are adhered to. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to build a solid understanding of a number of the various clearing systems used throughout Europe for both Euros and foreign currencies, whilst at the same time influencing change and to broaden their knowledge further by working closely with the Payments management team on projects and assisting with business support activities such as gathering and presenting information regarding requested statistical data.

As an Operations Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:
  • Processing and releasing of electronic payment instructions across 20 European branches, ensuring deadlines are strictly adhered to
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy when processing and releasing payments via the local clearings
  • Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues using own initiative and knowledge
  • Liaising with servicing both in Bromley and the local European branches and other internal business partners on a daily basis
  • Maintain and improve quality service and products through initiating and implementing new initiatives to drive the department forward
  • Building solid relationships with business partners across LOB's
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Understanding of the Payments business and SWIFT
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Keyboard skills required
  • Good team player, enthusiastic, flexible and committed
  • Ability to priorities, use own initiative and be flexible
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and navigate change and prioritize daily
  • Proactive approach to problem resolution
  • An understanding of the Cash management business
  • Individual should have experience of Payment Processing within Europe
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint an advantage
  • Work Schedule: 3rd Shift - Monday - Friday 4:00am - 1:00pm

  • Understanding of Network and European clearings
Initially you will be required to work from home and/or remotely in this role and will require the following:
  • Internet Service Provider at home (no public WiFi or Internet)
  • Sufficient room to set up a laptop, monitor, keyboard and mouse
  • Comfortable space to work for a full shift
  • Quiet, private and SECURE space in which to work
