Job Responsibilities:
  • Work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs.
  • Create, analyze, and validate detailed requirement and process documentation in support of the System Development Life Cycle framework.
  • Document intended product behavior and user experience in sufficient detail for downstream activities.
  • Obtain key inputs from Enterprise Architecture, CyberSec, and InfoSec teams to identify solution technical requirements and interdependencies.
  • Manage vendor relationships and monitor performance against SLAs.
  • Work closely with development resources on implementation issues.
  • Review QA test plans to align with acceptance criteria.
  • Review relevant documentation for technical accuracy.
  • Manage ongoing relationships with business partners to drive satisfaction with IT.
  • Reporting and progress management. Monitor and identify impediments to release objectives and suggest corrective actions.
  • Facilitate creative problem-solving sessions.
  • Create current state and future state process maps. Apply lean principles and continuous process improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory: Does not supervise others.

Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Professional or academic experience in Requirements Management – elicitation, analysis, documentation, and traceability.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communicative, analytical, and problem-solving skills in a technical project delivery or academic setting.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery framework and Cloud foundations certification is a plus.
  • Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) a significant asset.
  • Certification of Competency in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is a significant asset.

Scope: Primary focus is on daily deliverables, outputs, and reporting. Typically accountable for managing one’s own time and work flow. Responsibilities are generally tactical in nature and work is typically of moderate complexity requiring the incumbent to draw on previous knowledge to perform role. Continues to build knowledge base and develop capabilities by partnering with more experienced staff as needed.

Decision Impact: Problems and issues faced are vague but may be recognizable based on past experience. Accountable for some direct level of reasoning and decision making.
