The New Kensington Corner Launchbox is seeking qualified candidates for the Part-Time Launchbox Assistant position. This position supports the general administrative functions at the Corner. This support includes being the main point of contact for members, overseeing operational duties, as well as playing a key part in community relations.Typical duties may include:Membership

Oversee the sale of memberships and event space/conference room space, and recruitment of new members

Manage communication with current members

Foster positive and friendly relationships with individual members

Organize, plan, and implement bi-monthly or similar in-person get togethers, outings, and happy hours for current membership

Serve as the point person for new and existing memberships

Give tours to interested renters and potential members

Field inquiries on the space and programming

Resolve customer issues when necessary (typically minimal); field and address member concerns and issues

Create flyers and promotional materials to bring exposure to Corner memberships

Manage Kisi memberships (possibly)Operations

Oversee basic operational duties, including:

o Management of the space (ensure the area is neat, tidy, clean, and welcoming to members and guests)

o Management of supply inventory (including but not limited to: office products, consumables, janitorial supplies, kitchen items) and re-order when needed

o Ensure kitchen coffee bar and snack tray are full; reorder when necessary

o Ensure kitchen area is neat and maintained

o Ensure conference rooms and Lounge area tables are returned to their original position after use

o Collect and disburse member mail 2-3X weekly

Set up of events, and take down where needed; procure food and drink for events as needed

Work with the Innovation Coordinator to plan and implement programming, speakers, and other eventsCommunity Relations

Undertake in-person visits with local small business owners

Maintain communication with local business owners to ensure they are aware of events

Capture needs of local business owners

Work with Innovation Coordinator and Corner Intern to convey information to the community, business owners, membership, and other parties in group email distribution (Mail Chimp)

Attend community events on behalf of the Corner Launchbox, including having information tables and giveaways available

Attend networking events as needed to bring exposure to the Corner and increase membership/revenueEducation and experience:

Minimally requires a HS Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US

driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required
