Payroll Clerk

Description We are seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team in the management consultancy industry, located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be primarily responsible for setting up local pay tax codes, processing payroll, and managing bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities: Setting up local pay tax codes across various regions Processing payroll accurately and efficiently Maintaining precise records of payroll transactions Performing bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records Handling data entry tasks related to payroll and bookkeeping Responding to and resolving payroll-related inquiries in a timely manner Monitoring employee accounts and taking necessary action as required Collaborating with other team members to ensure consistency in payroll operations Continuously updating knowledge on payroll tax codes Assisting in other payroll projects as neededRequirements Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role Proficiency in payroll processing Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles Experience with data entry tasks Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion Excellent problem-solving/judgement skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results.
