Payroll Specialist

Description We are seeking a payroll professional in the Hershey area. This individual will be primarily responsible for the preparation, coordination, and processing of a multi-state payroll system. They will oversee the entire payroll process, ensuring all employees are compensated accurately and on time.Responsibilities:

Oversee electronic payments and distribution of payroll checks.

Enter and monitor employee information for new hires, changes, terminations, and transfers.

Generate reports detailing payroll account activities.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and guidelines.

Answer employee questions about payroll and resolve any payroll errors.

Completion of regular financial auditing tasks, such as staff time and attendance reports.

Regular communication and coordination with the HR department.

Requirements

Requirements:

Associate's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.

Extensive experience in processing payroll, ideally in a large corporate environment.

Familiarity with payroll software, such as ADP or Paychex.

Thorough understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll procedures.

Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
