Job ProfilePosition Overview At PNC, our people are our greatest differentiator and competitive advantage in the markets we serve.As a Portfolio Analytics & Strategy Analyst Sr on Deposit and Private Banking Analytics Team, you will be part of a cohesive team of professionals who utilize a variety of statistical and computational expertise to monitor the health, optimize and inform strategies for PNC's Deposits and Private Banking portfolios. In this role, you will work with key stakeholders across the bank to identify patterns within the Deposit and Private Banking portfolios' account and transaction datasets, create and manage various dashboards and reports, identify opportunities for new strategies, and recommend improvements to existing strategies. You will utilize a variety of statistical techniques, including logistic regression, clustering, decision trees, gradient boosting, and other machine learning algorithms, to design samples and build statistical models. This position may work remotely in the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area.Job Description Specific responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

Lead efforts to increase team effectiveness in utilizing Python and Hadoop

Use a variety of analytical techniques to extract usable information from various data sources, including customer, account, and transactional data sets.

Participate in data set creation, analysis, model building, and model monitoring

Represent the team in various forums to inform senior executives and various team partners of progress on key efforts

In this role, the successful candidate will focus on development of analytical methods to assess the existing portfolio and analysis needed to grow the deposit base and improve profitability, understand customer behaviors, identify attrition pattern and identify customer/ client patterns that may impact bank liquidity.The ideal candidate will take business problems, manipulate large datasets to conduct the analysis, synthesize analytical results and develop/recommend business strategies. Typical projects include segmentation, forecasting, understanding patterns in deposit and lending transactions, customer attrition analysis, predicting deposit and liquidity trends as rates rise etc. Exposure to treasury related analytics and familiarity with financial modeling techniques is desirable.This team's strategy is heavily informed by advanced analytics, and the successful candidate should hold strong skills in SAS/ SQL/Python. Solid Experience using advanced statistical methodologies for descriptive and predictive analysis techniques for segmentation, pattern recognition and insight generation. The candidate should have high level of proficiency with manipulating customer, account and transaction data and summarizing complex analysis for executive management.

Education BachelorsAdditional Job Description The successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Psychology, Quantitative Political Science, MBA with a specialization in Analytics/Data Science) with 2+ years of relevant work experience.
