Overview Our Organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Developer with expertise in Terraform and Azure Cloud services. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, have experience working in agile environments, and follow best software development practices. They will be able to work with minimal supervision and will play a key role in driving the development of cloud-based applications.

Role Description: As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based solutions that meet the needs of our business. You will work closely with our development team to create high-quality, scalable, and secure applications that leverage the latest cloud technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring that our applications are reliable and performant, and that they meet the needs of our customers.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop cloud-based applications using Terraform and Azure Cloud services
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure that applications are scalable, reliable, and secure
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure that best software development practices are followed
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks in cloud-based applications
  • Work with minimal supervision to drive the development of cloud-based applications
  • Ensure that our applications are well-documented and easy to maintain

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud-based application development
  • Proficiency in Terraform and Azure Cloud services
  • Strong understanding of software development best practices, including Agile methodologies
  • Outstanding teamwork, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in complex cloud-based applications
  • Strong understanding of the network cloud construct s and security controls in cloud environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with other cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud
  • Experience with other infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API design
  • Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. SQL, NoSQL)
  • Contributions to open-source projects or relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer)
