The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing routine MRI examinations and assists the Radiologist with diagnostic procedures.

Responsibilities:

perate 3T and 1.5TGE scanners, 2(1.5) Siemens Scanners, SMS-RMS/Invisin wrkstatins.Prepare magnet rm, maintain cleanliness f area.Interviews and screens patients fr metal and cntraindicated bimedical devices prir t the examinatin, explains prcedures t the patient.Assists changing patients int dressing gwns.Mnitr patients in scan rm during examinatin.Read all staff ntes; attend sectin and quarterly meetings; keep abreast f all changes within the Department. Cmmunicate equipment prblems and image quality issues.Advise all cncerned in the prper prcedures fr varius studies dne in the sectin.Stck supplies and maintain equipment as needed.Maintains and prvides annual registry certificatin frm ARRT and CPR within expiratin date.Serve as liaisn with referring physicians and patients t assist in scheduling exams; expedite patient studies as needed.btain cnsent frms as needed.Dcuments and maintains annual mandatry in-services.Injects cntrast agents fr indicated exams.Scheduling patients, pages hspital persnnel.Answers telephnes and respnds t request fr infrmatin and reprts.ccasinally transprts patients

Credentials:

Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)

MRI certification from ARRT within one year of hire date required.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology 1+ years Radiology or related experience
