Kelly has a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Program Director – Government Contracts to lead and oversee a portfolio featuring strategic scientific federal contracts focused on our Nation’s public health from a remote position based on the East Coast. This is a Direct Hire opportunity with a starting salary of $200,000 - $225,000 , an excellent bonus structure, and a comprehensive benefits package. In this role you will provide Program Director expertise by directing a high-performing Program Management team to drive strategy and execution. This is a remote position, and you will work closely with business unit partners to achieve results. The ideal candidate will carry relevant portfolio/program management experience with governments contracts and consistently display top-level people leadership skills.Responsibilities include but not limited to: Act a trusted advisor to multiple government and commercial customers and internal and external stakeholders Provide overall leadership and direction to a cross-functional program team and program managers including coaching, conflict resolution, and initiating corrective actions if necessary Deliver timely and clearly communicated decisions and recommendations to senior leadership, the program team, and management Direct program development that integrates with the overall business and strategy Identify potential risks and opportunities that could impact program performance and take proactive action to resolve issues regarding cost and schedule Establish and clearly communicate overall program objectives, mission, vision, and strategy with a focus on building morale and supporting team needs. Participate as a member of organizational leadership and business strategy team. Build and maintain successful relationships with current and prospective customers Participate in business development activities including outlining potential opportunities, participating on proposal teams, and leading associated tasks Ensure programs are executing within compliance with specifications, performance requirements, schedules, cost commitments, and internal policies and procedures Responsible for establishing the direction for new processes, systems, solutions, and products using reasoning and interpretationSkills and Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or similar field of study required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of relevant program/portfolio management experience with oversight of government contracts in a contractor setting. Life sciences experience is highly preferred! Advanced program management, leadership capabilities, and broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines Proposal development experience highly preferred Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity Prior experience supporting technical contracts for government customers Demonstrated ability to exhibit thought leadership Experience in successfully managing and developing professionals, staff members, and consultants Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams Proficient with SharePoint, Adobe, or similar document/communication management applications Ability to work remotely with very occasional travelApply today!As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
