Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Property Accountant. The ideal Property Accountant will have experience in accounting and property management, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and property-specific systems. Maintain property financials and general ledger account reconciliations, through the application of US GAAP and appropriate accounting control procedures
Prepare accrual or cash-based journal entries as needed
Recording cash receipts including collections from residents, and reconciling bank accounts
Performing month-end close and recording of month-end accruals including, but not limited to, prepaid expenses, other assets, accrued liabilities, other liabilities
Reconcile and analyze all balance sheet accounts on the trial balance with supporting schedules that identify the components of the balance
Requirements
The ideal Property Accountant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.Other requirements for the Property Accountant position include and are not limited to:
2+ years of relevant experience
Experience in accounting within real estate, construction, property management
Experience with Entrata and Fixed Assests CS preferred
Good verbal and written communications
Strong analytical and accounting skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)
