Description

Develop and maintain internal controls over accounting processes and procedures.

Oversee and manage all accounts receivable and payable activities.

Provide accurate, timely processing of government-related invoices and contract requirement.

Manage grant invoices and fiscal compliance for all agency contracts/grants.

Perform monthly financial close duties, conduct variance analysis, and prepare monthly financial reports.

Perform reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.

Assist in year-end audit and in drafting annual financial statements and footnotes.

Ensure compliance with GAAP, state, and federal regulations at all times.

Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as required.

Collaborate with various departments to provide advice on finance-related issues.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Minimum of five years of experience in accounting or finance field, preferably within a manufacturing or technology company.

A strong understanding of government contracts, grant accounting, and working with federal agencies.

Proficient in AR, AP, general ledger postings, as well as month and year-end closing procedures.

Knowledge of GAAP and related state, federal, and local laws and regulations.

Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
