This Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion intern will be working with closely with the current Graduate DEI Intern, Workforce Development Manager, and Asst. Deputy Commissioner of HR/Administration to help implement the department goals and initiatives for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.Essential FunctionsEssential functions include:Establishing and supporting employee resource groups.Structure a forum to obtain ongoing feedback from employees.Analyzing workforce trends within the department using Excel Pivot and Microsoft Power.Collaborating with Workforce Development on initiatives that promote equity.Proposing trainings, structural changes, and structural support for ongoing diversity, equity, and inclusion measureCollaborating with the Racial Equity Team to support racial equity work within the department’s workforce, customer relations, and community outreachCompetencies, Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesA bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Sociology, Data Analytics, Political Science, Foreign Language Studies and/or related majors, or combination of education, experience, or training.Coursework or Training within Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is a plus.Ability to work with a teamWork-LifeWorking hours are generally 37.5 hours per week but can be flexible.  Our team is currently in-office three days a week and work remotely 2 days a week.
