- Supports Engineering, Purchasing, Warranty, and Operations through testing programs, material evaluations, and in-plant studies.
- Prepares test samples and components as needed to complete test requests.
- Assists with running tests and performing evaluations and in-plant studies as required. This may require travel to other Morgan facilities.
- Builds mock-ups and prototypes as required.
- Fabricates test fixtures and components as required.
- Sets up tests ranging from components to full body configurations.
- Updates the test log up to ensure accuracy.
- Writes test reports on completed test requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 5-10 years of experience in the manufacturing field - 2 year technical/trade school (mechanical engineering, welding, fabrication) a plus
- Knowledge and application of fundamental fabrication skills including welding and machining
- Proficiency in reading Engineering drawings
- Proficiency in using measuring devices including tape measure, dial calipers, and micrometers
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel
- Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.
