Job Title : RF Engineer

Location : Downingtown, PA

Duration : 12 Months

Creating, updating, and reviewing test methods and plans
Testing and evaluation of products and services to ensure compliance with industry standards
Creating and reviewing test reports
Using and creating automated test environments
Research and understand industry standards such as ASTM, IEC, FCC, MIL, UL, Telcordia, IEEE, Cable Labs, ANSI/SCTE, etc.
Be a part of product development discussions with internal teams, internal customers, and vendors.
Function as a subject matter expert on a variety of RF, wireless, and optical technologies and mentor junior engineers.
Operate test equipment such as
Perform hands-on physical activities such as installing and cabling products to be tested

What are the top three MUST HAVE skill sets (technical) that are required:

Experience with electrical, RF, and optical test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, EMI receivers, oscilloscopes, environmental chambers, optical wavelength meters, etc.
Experience with HFC network equipment such as bridger amplifiers, line extenders, optical nodes, EDFAs, DWDM and DWDM components, RF taps, and coaxial cable.
Understanding of both RF and optical signal propagation concepts such as link budget, receiver sensitivity, free space path loss, etc.
