Our Client, an industry-leading technology manufacturer, is seeking candidates for a full time RF Test Engineer role. This individual with be a key member of the Engineering team, serving as an onsite RF testing expert and as the primary liaison between the company and its customers regarding the integration of new RF test processes.Located just South of Manchester, NH, the company offers an excellent salary and benefits package, as well as 401K, professional development opportunities, and a schedule with every other Friday off.Responsibilities

Generally
  • Ensure proper functionality of RF products before release to customer.
  • Oversee the development & support of test processes to be utilized by QC team.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company and its customers regarding the integration of new test processes.
  • Evaluate test equipment suitability and make recommendations when changes are needed.
  • Resolve test yield problems by performing analysis of root cause, developing and coordinating corrective action measures, and monitoring improvements.

Specifically
  • Perform component-level testing and troubleshooting.
  • Utilize RF test equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope, power meters, TV analyzers, and signal generators.
  • Create manufacturing process documentation for manufacturing test personnel.
  • Read and interpret customer schematics, circuit designs, and specifications.
  • Provide oversight to work being performed by QC Technicians.
Qualifications

Required
  • 8+ years of related experience/training
  • Ability to perform component-level testing and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment, including Spectrum Analyzer, network analyzer, oscilloscope, power meter, TV analyzer, and signal generator
  • Familiarity with Audio Circuits, both analog and digital; Able to use audio test equipment to test audio levels and frequencies.
  • Familiarity with Video circuits, including analog, SD-SDI and HD-SDI; Hands-on experience working with video generators and video monitors.
  • Familiarity with RF Modulation Circuits: Understanding the different types of modulation (analog, ASI, QPSK, QAM, DVB-T and COFDM), knowledge of measuring and understanding S/N< I&Q, MER, FEC, BER at both the transmitting and receiving end of RF communication circuits. Familiar with up and down converters, mixers, DACs, ADCs and oscillators.
  • Familiarity with Digital Circuits: knowledge of programming FPGA, memory devices, Atmel, and working with serial, parallel and ethernet circuits
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and customer specifications.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs and walk throughout the manufacturing floor throughout the work day

Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (or military training)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt training
  • RF and ESS Programming experience
  • ESD (Electro-static Discharge) training
