Sales Assistant

Description Robert Half is working with a local manufacturing organization who's looking for a Sales Assistant to join their team. Operating within the manufacturing industry, you will be tasked with supporting the Business Development Manager in a variety of tasks. Your primary role will be to process and maintain customer orders, communicate with corporate offices, and conduct research for technical parts pricing and vendors.Responsibilities include:

Collaborating with our Aftermarket Division to coordinate orders and monitor inventory levels.

Ensuring accurate and efficient entry of sales orders.

Establishing effective communication and exchanges with our Hine Corporate Offices as required.

Dispatching digital quotations and conducting diligent follow-ups.

Supporting the Sales Team in producing comprehensive quotes.

Handling various forms of customer-related documentation.

Carrying out research on technical parts to ascertain pricing and locate reliable vendors.

Assisting in the follow-up of new product introductions.

Establishing communicative links with suppliers for effective quotation follow-ups.

Updating and entering pricing data into our ERP system from customer agreements.

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.

Familiarity or previous experience with ERP systems and customer portal management.

Excellent communication skills, allowing professional interaction at all levels within the organization, including our corporate office.

Proficiency in basic computer applications, namely Word and Excel, with bonus points for experience in pivot tables and v-lookup.

An ability to thrive in a team-focused environment.

A flexible approach, able to adeptly navigate swiftly changing demands.

Highly organized with acute attention to detail.
