Senior Business Intelligence ETL Developerin the

Washington, PAarea.

Position Overview

The Senior Business Intelligence ETL Developer is responsible for supporting the data and business intelligence needs of our teams at both Team Headquarters and in the Field. The successful candidate will ensure that our stakeholders have the information to create reporting tools needed to support our business process. The Developer will provide technical support of our enterprise data warehouse, including the design, development, and implementation of solutions.

Responsibilities

Interpret business requirements; design, build and test processes to ensure a high level of data quality and optimal system performance.
Leads the data design and the creation of database architecture and data repositories.
Responsible for technical documentation that includes architecture diagrams, process flow diagrams, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
Ensures the technical deliverables for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and applications.
Ensures proper balance between front-end systems and back-end processing capabilities.
Verifies and validates all new software or software upgrades, including development and management of test plans.
Provides status updates of work progress to project team and management.
Leads the definition, scope and technical estimates for portions of large complex projects.
Contribute to the roadmap for Business Intelligence and data transformation solutions for the team.
Develop a good working relationship with a wide range of stakeholders to design end-to-end experiences.
Partner with other team members as well as cross-functional partners to support business processes and system solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years of experience with SQL / ETL development or BI development tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, prioritizing & interpersonal skills.
A willingness to learn technology to solve business problems.
Hands-on experience with both relational and dimensional databases.
Expertise to own technical aspects of solution and provide guidance to other technical team members.
Ability to deliver assigned work tasks within project timelines.
Ability to communicate to project team, business partners and senior management with the appropriate information at each level.

Preferred Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience in full-phase ETL implementation using tools such as, SSIS, Informatica, or other ETL tools.
Experience in technical implementations of business intelligence applications that deliver business decision making capabilities.
Exposure to Cloud integration technologies.
Experience effectively managing third party and vendor relationships and service levels.
Proficiency with enterprise Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, etc.)
