The Senior Director, VMS Marketing will lead the planning, development and execution of marketing initiatives that align with Verisk Marketing Solutions’ short- and long-term strategic objectives. Areas of focus include Thought Leadership, Brand Awareness, Demand Generation, Events, Public Relations, Product Marketing, and Client and Company Communications all with the primary goal of expanding the Verisk’s market presence and revenue growth in the Marketing Solutions category in the broader context of Verisk. Supervisory Responsibilities   The Senior Director oversees and directs the work of managers and their teams. As the manager of the team, this role:  Maintains oversight and provides direction on marketing strategy and tactics Manages complex and competing priorities by coordinating team to deploy strengths, meet deadlines, and ensure quality  Guides the management and selection of vendor and partner relationships amongst the team  Is responsible for the overall quality of the team culture and its work  Responsibilities & Duties Assigned Direct/Manage/Supervise the development and implementation of marketing strategies for new and existing products.  Form marketing strategy by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.  Oversee implementation of the marketing strategy including campaigns, events, digital marketing, and PR.  Work closely with company sales team, enabling them to meet their revenue objectives by providing them with appropriate tools, materials, and presentations.  Guide the day-to-day activities, training and development of the marketing team. Engage with customers directly, and indirectly (via customer-facing resources) to understand what impacts and value we bring (and can bring) to the customers we serve. Collaborate with product and product marketing to coordinate the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Work closely with product management teams to define marketing materials and programs with product positioning and messaging that differentiates Verisk’s products in the market Work closely with the finance and operations team to deploy, track and manage marketing expenditures effectively and efficiently. Develop and deliver marketing and communications strategies for the organization. Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environment and consumer trends.  Lead and inspire an event playbook, including selling, marketing and servicing industry and company events in collaboration with Verisk corporate marketing team. Assist executives and/or senior directors in defining organizational goals and strategic plans.
