How will I contribute?The Sr. Lead Engineer is responsible for providing oversight for the discipline at a project, office and regional level. The Sr. Lead Engineer is responsible for managing the project discipline budgets on complex projects of all sizes or across a series of smaller projects. The Sr. Lead Engineer is responsible for directing and managing the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to meet client expectation and project goals.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for directing and managing the workflows and execution of design and engineering support staff (Entry-Level to Senior) to meet client expectation and project goalsCoordinate with internal and external parties, manage multiple complex tasks, establish priorities and direct the work of othersWork with a Project Manager for proposal development, man-hour planning, project scheduling for the discipline scope of work on advanced level projectsIdentify and resolve advanced non-compliant existing conditions during site walks and construction field surveysAttend external seminars/conferences for professional development preferredDevelop advanced internal discipline design and engineering training presentationsDevelop construction drawing packages and write construction specifications on advanced and complex projects without oversightLead and advanced support of construction activities such as RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch list development, and construction progress reportsConduct technical and leadership interviewConduct quality checking of documents for advanced complex projects, e.g., technical verification of design calculations and documentation, and drive overall project qualityProvide mentorship to Discipline Engineer I, II, and III and/or Designer I, II, and III)Lead advanced project system design programming and master planning with support from Senior EngineerLead a team of discipline staff in the execution of advanced projects discipline design and engineeringCommunicate and coordinate with internal and external architects, engineers, partners, clients, construction managers, subcontractors, and vendorsProvide oversight and technical leadership to other offices and related functions such as Business Development, Technical Advancement and Vertical MarketsProvide industry level perspective and guidance to frame business strategy in the face of evolving technology or client buying behavior
