Our leading financial services client is seeking an experienced Senior Mainframe Programmer to join their dedicated team in Pittsburgh.We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Responsibilities of the Senior Mainframe Programmer: - Review, analyze, and modify programming systems
- Maintain and develop online and batch application programs
- Develop and implement a disaster recovery plan
- Develop solutions to highly complex business and technical problems
Requirements of the Senior Mainframe Programmer: - Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of related experience
- Must have financial background
- In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Advanced COBOL/CICS/MVS VSAM and DB2
- Experience with large real-time mainframe applications
- Experience with triggering/messaging in real time
- MQ desired; Jira nice to have
