Senior QA Analyst Genesis10 is seeking an experienced QA Analyst for a contract position supporting a financial services client based in Pittsburgh, PA. Pay: $53.00 - $58.00 /hr W2 (based on experience) Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid - onsite every Tuesday and Wednesday) Period of Performance: April 2023 to October 2023 (potential to go perm)

  • The Sr QA Analyst is responsible for definition, planning and execution of testing efforts and also may supervise and provide technical guidance to assigned project teams.
  • This role reports directly to the QA Lead and analyzes systems requirements, develops test plans and creates test scripts.
  • The Analyst participates in and/or conducts QA Reviews and performs testing activities based upon test plans and scripts.
  • Additionally, in this role, the successful the incumbent identifies and documents software and systems defects and supports product migrations through all systems environments while providing support to technical and managerial staff with regard to QA activities.
  • It may interact directly with clients regarding project activities.
  • This role is also responsible designing a performance test plan and executing this plan in accordance to well defined deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Requires specific knowledge of QA testing, change management and test case generation techniques
  • Strong planning and project organization skills, negotiation, decision making, problem solving, influencing skills
  • Strong judgment and leadership skills, Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in high-pressure, high-volume environment
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office applications and PC proficiency in Windows-based programs
  • Ability to define process and strategy for performance testing is highly preferred
  • Experience as a performance tester, predominately performance testing data intensive web applications (including web services) is a major plus
  • 5-7 years of relevant testing experience required
  • Core Java expertise (to automated test scenarios)
  • Understanding of BDD (Cucumber preferred)
  • Selenium for UI level test automation
  • Rest Assured (for API level test automation)
  • Good SQL skills (ability to write complex queries)
  • Using Jira with Zephyr (or similar tool) to schedule/execute test cycles, report bugs etc.
  • Mobile test automation using Appium and executing tests in the cloud (like BrowserStack)
  • Experience in Agile methodology (needs good communication skills to articulate QA status for stakeholders involved)
  • Leveraging CI/CD pipeline Gitlab/similar tools and Cloud Native technologies for testing (nice to have)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or equivalent) with experience in above mentioned skills, ranging from 5-9 years with at least one project within Financial/Banking domain
  • Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no C2C)
