Your tasks in this role will include developing critically important systems that form the backbone of technologies like network optimization and an autonomous rail network. We're looking for determined individuals who are motivated to learn new things. It would be best if you had a strong sense of ownership through all stages of a software project up to and including the final customer review and sign-off.What your day-to-day will look like:

Covering all aspects of Requirements Engineering, Design, Development, Documentation, V&V support, and Software Maintenance

Interacting with internal and external customers - sometimes taking technical concepts and explaining them to non-technical users

Tackling complex software topics such as multithreading and asynchronous inter-process communication

Software Engineering in an Agile Environment, Analyzing Information, Software Debugging, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Problem Solving, and Teamwork

To thrive in this role, you have:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or a similar field or a combination of education and hands-on software development experience

Experience in estimating software development efforts and agile environments

Experience with Event-Driven, Service-Based, and Cloud-Native Architecture and Design

Experience with: Java (including JavaFX), JUnit, mocking frameworks (e.g., Mockito), Angular and/or React

Experience with AMQP, git, Kubernetes and Docker, and CI/CD

Preferred skills: Industrial Control Systems, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, Python, C, CENELEC (EN 50128/50129)

The base salary is $118,500 - $160,000 with an annual incentive target of 10% of the base salary.
