Senior SAP Data Governance Lead Philadelphia, PA Duration: 12 months A regional consulting firm specializing in People, Process and Technology solutions, is seeking a qualified Senior SAP Data Governance Lead for a consulting engagement opportunity at a leading global materials company in the Western Philadelphia suburbs. This role will function as the implementation manager of a critical SAP S4 program for the client. This individual will work closely with counterparts in IT, Finance, Master Data, and third-party partners to drive key decisions related to enterprise data governance, migration, and cleansing. This role manages critical program deliverables within committed timelines, reports regularly to senior leadership and key business stakeholders, and makes recommendations on program deliverables within the program team and within the broader organization. Responsibilities:

  • Lead vision, direction, and guiding principles for data architecture and governance
  • Organize and lead a data governance council.
  • Work with Global Data Stewards to develop data standards and rules for cleansing, mapping, integrating, managing, and establishing hierarchies for key company data.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of data governance, master data management, data migration to the process & system teams during blueprinting, deployment and steady state operations activities.
  • Work cross-functionally with key business stakeholders to educate on data policy and protocols, and drive standardization.
  • Design and develop processes to perform complex Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) processes from legacy systems to new SAP ERP system.
  • Develop and manage data quality analytics and performance metrics and drive continuous process improvement activities with data owners and stewards.
  • Accountable for delivering key data deliverables on time and on budget.
  • Drive utilization of data best practices within the program.
  • Ensure timely resolution of key decisions through the ERP program.
  • Support existing MDM system and processes.
  • Create policies and controls for the appropriate protection of enterprise information assets through a defined life cycle from acquisition or creation to end of life destruction and disposal procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor s Degree in related field and 10+ years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing data delivery project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle from scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and go live.
  • 3 4 full-life-cycle SAP implementation projects.
  • Experience of running a large data conversion project across multiple domains a must.
  • Domain knowledge of Finance, Sales or Supply chain as it relates to data.
  • Broad experience desired in multiple domain areas, such as data warehousing, business intelligence (BI), data governance, data architecture, data integration, data classification, data strategy, data quality management, data security and privacy, MDM, data standards.
  • Proven data literacy the ability to describe business use cases/outcomes, data sources and management concepts, and analytical approaches/options. The ability to translate among the languages used by executive, business, IT, and stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Must have strong people leadership skills, project management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP S/4 products and prior ERP implementation experience
  • Exposure to tools like Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, SAP BODS, IBM eHub preferable.
  • Must be a relationship builder and capable of functioning with only limited oversight. Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work effectively internally and externally.
  • Manages ambiguity well.
  • Experienced in working in a global setting and developing local expertise while operating effectively in a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Able to work with a team and have great communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Self-directed and uses judgment to proactively seek guidance from management or update status to management. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
