DescriptionSAIC is seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer on our VA T4NG Consolidated Corporate Support Services (CCSS) contract within The Department of Veterans Affairs Corporate Portfolio's Acquisition & Property Management (APM) Product Line on the new Forms and Publications Modernization delivery effort to support the migration and integration of complex software systems into VA’s Enterprise Cloud enclaves (AWS and Azure), including on-prem private cloud infrastructures, in addition to designing, developing, and implementing software to address solution modernization requirements.Duties:

Provide application development, modernization, and technical support, and be a key contributor to continuous process improvement focused on delivering high-performance web-based applications, API’s and reusable microservices to guide modernization, integration, and interoperability of key systems.

Develop application program interfaces using Java, C and software languages and technologies.

Identify and mitigate risks.

Identify innovative ways to addressing requirements.

Drive automated testing across multiple, escalating test environments to facilitate unit, functional, performance, and user-acceptance testing.

Perform other administrative and technical duties as required.

Conduct in-depth triage, troubleshooting, and forensics across all facets of the cloud stack while executing processes corrective action and continual service improvement.

Work on unusually complex technical problems and provides solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious.

Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

QualificationsRequired Skills:

Experience working on a DevSecOps team in a SAFE Agile development environment.

Experience with development, support, and sustainment of the VAEC technologies and services that are targeted for assigned applications including but not limited to VAEC AWS GovCloud, VAEC Azure GovCloud, or other on-premises infrastructure.

Declarative Infrastructure as Code tools Cloud-based build and deployment pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, Kubernetes, Jenkins/CloudBees, Python, Puppet, Terraform, Docker, as well as Enterprise DevOps or similar shared service experience.

Knowledge of sourcing, warehouse management, inventory management, order/requisition management, and distribution business processes in supply chain management (SCM).

Experience in designing, configuring, testing, and implementing on-premise or cloud web-based supply chain management solutions.

Experience in using supply chain management solutions such as Dynamic 365 Finance & Operations (FO), SCM module, and Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM.

Experiencing in configuring out-of-the-box system capabilities to best meet the client’s business requirements.

Experience with data migration from a mainframe environment to on-premise or cloud environment.

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills, to communicate effectively with all stakeholder throughout the organization.

Bachelor’s and 5 years or a Master’s and 5 years required; 7+ years of experience highly preferred.

2-3 years of experience implementing Microsoft Dynamic 365 SCM

Ability to obtain a VA Position of Public Trust – Medium Background Investigation (MBI)

Desired Skills:

Microsoft Dynamic 365 SCM, Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud, Azure cloud, and Redshift, Glue, Oracle RDS and S3 knowledge and experience

IT technical background and mainframe programming experience

Testing experience

Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000.
