ResponsibilitiesNoblis MSD’s mission is to support the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWCPD) and their missions’ to enable research, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, engineering, systems integration, in-service and fleet engineering with cybersecurity, comprehensive logistics, and life-cycle savings. We are looking to hire a Control Systems Integration & Test Engineer to provide support to various ship programs for the US Navy.The Shipboard Control Systems Integration & Test Engineer supports the development, integration, verification, and validation of Navy shipboard control systems. This role blends hands-on lab management and integration testing with systems engineering responsibilities such as requirements development, verification planning, and coordination with cybersecurity and development teams. The engineer collaborates across multidisciplinary teams to ensure system functionality, readiness, and compliance with Navy standards, contributing to all phases of the system lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Navy shipboard control systems.

Perform system integration, verification, and validation in lab and test environments.

Conduct lab setup, including equipment configuration, wiring, and building test fixtures.

Support hardware/software installation, PLC setup, and troubleshooting of control system components.

Analyze communication protocols, network configurations, and timing systems for interoperability.

Document and resolve issues through discrepancy reports and problem tracking.

Create and maintain technical artifacts such as wiring diagrams, signal mappings, and test documentation.

Participate in Agile workflows including sprint planning, retrospectives, and task tracking using Jira/Confluence.

Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, cybersecurity teams, and contractors to ensure system readiness and compliance.

Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field and Control Systems Integration & Test Engineer and a minimum of 3 years of experience in systems integration, testing, and requirements development for Navy or shipboard control systems.

CompTIA Security+ Certification is required, or candidate must obtain it within 6 months of hire.

Experience with control systems design and architecture.

Experience with PLC integration and hardware/software testing in a lab or shipboard environment.

Proficient in using diagnostic and analysis tools such as Wireshark and scripting languages (e.g., Powershell).

Able to travel up to 25% as required.

Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain

Desired Qualifications

Experience with virtual machine setup, software environment configuration, and test automation.

Knowledge of Navy systems engineering processes, test readiness documentation, and verification/validation standards.

Understanding of shipboard cybersecurity integration requirements and secure configuration practices.

Strong background in system requirements development, decomposition, and traceability.

Experience working within Agile/SCRUM development frameworks and using project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Familiarity with shipboard networking, communication protocols, and interface control documentation.

Excellent communication and technical writing skills for clear documentation and cross-functional team collaboration.

The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked.
