Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer based in Philadelphia that operates within the software development industry and calls for a detail-oriented professional to manage a variety of tasks related to software applications, quality assurance, and system enhancements.Responsibilities: Develop software applications in adherence to both internal business requirements and external customer needs Standardize the quality assurance procedure for software, ensuring all applications meet our high standards Oversee testing processes and develop necessary fixes to ensure optimal functioning of software Monitor and maintain the operational readiness of Middleware Applications, including those hosted in AWS cloud Identify opportunities for system enhancements to improve functionality and simplify system administration Facilitate and develop plans for application changes such as defect fixes, enhancements, and configuration changes Configure and test changes to the system including reports, security access, and workflow Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment Collaborate closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested Utilize creativity and latitude to contribute to project goals and tasksRequirements Proficiency in Python, Java, Django, and REST API development is essential Experience with AWS Technologies is a must Familiarity with Sprint Framework and Spring Framework is required Knowledge of configuration management and system administration is necessary Ability to work with external customers, comprehend business requirements and translate them into functional enhancements is crucial Experience in planning, procedures, and implementing best practices is required Quality assurance and defect management skills are important Understanding of design patterns is needed Proven track record in supervising and ensuring security measures in software development Demonstrated creativity in problem-solving and software development Excellent skills in quality control and assurance are mandatory.
