Responsibilities:
  • Performed discovery and requirements analysis for new system features
  • Document and test the customizations
  • Solaris Unix System Administrator must have experience in conducting routine system administration tasks and logging data in system admin logs
  • Solaris Unix Systems administrators are responsible for maintaining Solaris system efficiency
  • Experience in maintaining troubleshooting a wide variety of Solaris Unix systems and networks to include high volume/high availability Solaris Unix systems
  • Have knowledge on a number of debugging protocols and processes
  • Able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions quickly
  • Applied Solaris Unix Patches to servers
  • know the VI editor
  • Work independently or as a team

Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 3 years of Solaris Unix Solaris 10 and 11 experience
  • Must be able to troubleshoot problems and issues identified by customers and implement corrective actions quickly
  • Must have applied Solaris Unix Patches to servers
  • Must know the VI editor
  • Must be able to participate in planning, troubleshooting, and status meeting
  • Need to have good communication skills, both written and oral

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related scientific /technical discipline
  • Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (8 years total)
