Specialist, Production Services Application Support

to join our

Production Services (PS) team . This role is located in

Pittsburgh, PA, / Lake Mary, FL, -

HYBRID .
  • Knowledge of advanced Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL)
  • Experience using pre-built dashboards/add-ons in Splunk and ability to customize Splunk dashboards and search queries.
  • Ability to develop dashboards and alerting using tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk & MoogSoft to proactively monitor and mitigate incidents and reduce resolution times
  • Monitor production stability, safety & soundness of infrastructure data middleware namely KAFKA, IBM MQ and Cloud Storage Technologies
  • Knowledge of Springboot & Microservices architecture
  • Experience with Apache opensource technologies that support microservices like Zookeeper, Spring-cloud.
  • Understand Code source control and possess sound knowledge in Git workflow for CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Act as an SME ( Subject Matter Expert ) for all incidents, problems and changes related to applications specific to the line of business.
  • Lead investigations and resolutions for incidents and engage the required groups including Infrastructure Support and Application Development teams as needed.
  • Work on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues.
  • Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills and have a production support discipline.
To be successful in this role, we-re seeking the following:
  • 8+ years of experience.
  • 5+ Java\Oracle support experience at a Financial Firm (preferred).
  • Strong Analytical Skills, Able to comprehend and dissect a problem.
  • Must have strong deductive reasoning & diagnostic problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, fast learner, willing to go outside of comfort zone and learn new things.
  • Hands on Java Technologist
  • Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures.
  • Experience with continuous integration build engines, such as Jenkins, Cruise Control, etc.
  • Experience with IT automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
  • Exposure to Agile development processes and tools such as Confluence, JIRA, and Kanban.
  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, batch, etc.)
  • Recommends technical solutions for application problems.
  • Some experience with problem management or collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT and Service Now.
