Overall Purpose:

Responsible for data communications network availability for corporate and operations users. Resolves complex data communication problems and may establish service levels and define procedures

Job Responsibilities:

Diagnosis network system failures and performs repairs and adjustments on complex or undefined issues. Performs triage and troubleshooting of data network technologies. Resolves issues that have been escalated by other staff.
Provide technical guidance to lower level staff in diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving network performance problems.
Install network hardware, software, and peripheral components according to design and installation specifications and ensure operability.

Skills utilized by this position include:

Network firewalls (Cisco ASA/NGFW, Checkpoint)
Network switching (Cisco, Juniper)
Network routing (OSPF, BGP, iBGP)
DHCP/DNS
Wireless Networking (Cisco)
Cloud Networking (Azure, AWS)
Network load balancing
Network transport (IP/MPLS, DWDM, Cisco, Arista, Nokia)
