Sr.(Lead) Engineer/Analyst I (II) - REQ-2024-3855DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Sr. (Lead) Analyst/Engineer will support the Day Ahead Market Operations Department mission by operating and supporting the Day Ahead and Real Time Energy Market.Essential Functions:

Ability to understand the operational and technical aspects of PJM's Markets including Day-Ahead Market, Fixed Transmission Right Auction, Real-Time Locational Marginal Price calculation, and Ancillary Services Market.

Ability to perform power system analysis and document results.

Ability to test software application enhancements and document results.

Ability to provide customer support and training.

Provide a high-level of analytical analysis and act as a problem solver, proactively addressing business needs and requirements with innovative, creative, and cost-effective solutions.

Ability to develop new technical software tools and enhance existing applications to support Market Operations.

Ability to work with other members of the Market Services Division, System Operations Division, and Planning Division in problem-solving and streamlining processes.

Willingness to work some weekends and holidays running the Day-Ahead software.Characteristics & Qualifications:

Required:

BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or equivalent work experience

Ability to produce high-quality work products with attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment

Experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis

Experience using verbal and written communications skills

Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)Preferred:

MS, Engineering

Programing experience in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) and or C Sharp (C#)

Experience with PJM operations, markets, and planning functions
