AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Structural Engineer in the Greater Pennsylvania area to join the A/E Department of the Philadelphia, PA office. Aspire to be a key player on some of the best projects regionally, with opportunities to also work on projects nationally and internationally.As a Structural Engineer, you will work with multi-discipline project teams in developing a range of engineering solutions from initial concepts to detailed design development and through construction. This is a diverse role that will involve your contributions and insight to the effective delivery of the department’s current and future portfolio of projects. This is a hybrid role (two days in office, three days from home).The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Prepare analytical models and design calculations for various structural elements relating to the design, rehabilitation, and construction of buildings and structures, including structural steel framing, reinforced concrete framing and shear walls, masonry, deep and shallow foundations, and site structures.Lead structural design projects within the discipline and through coordination with architects, engineering disciplines, contractors, and clients, with the goal of producing a comprehensive, coordinated set of project documents.Provide technical leadership and training of junior structural engineering staff.Develop design documentation (3D models, plans, sketches, and details) using Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu.Prepare project specifications and basis of design reports for all milestone submissions.Perform discipline and interdisciplinary reviews of submission deliverables and supporting materials in accordance with AECOM’s quality protocols.Review construction submittals and RFI’s and develop detailed, timely responses.Conduct field inspections and condition assessments and prepare technical reports.Assist with the development of manhour estimates and project scoping for proposals.
