Eaton's Internet of Things (IoT) Center of Excellence is currently seeking a Team Lead of Cloud Platforms to join our organization! This position is based at our Moon Township, PA facility. In this role you will:

  • Work with your team and others contributing to the architecture, design, and implementation of an Internet of Things platform used by product teams across Eaton to accelerate their ability to deliver IoT and connected device solutions to their end customers.
  • Lead a well-established team of architects, developers, and testers to deliver high-quality, highly-performant, unit-tested code. Engineers are in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, New Jersey, Raleigh, and India. Development is primarily in Microsoft Azure, C#, and Python.
  • Give feedback to developers, testers, and architects on their work.
  • Demonstrate, present, and document solutions by using flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, code snippets, and performance instruments.
  • Provide work estimates and participate in design, implementation, and code reviews.
  • Work closely with global Business Leaders, Executives, Project Managers, Product Teams, Stakeholders, UX, Architects, and IT to define requirements, manage product backlogs, prioritize work, coordinate product roadmaps, and iteratively deliver new features on a regular cadence.
  • Maintain job knowledge by studying software development techniques and programming languages. Participate in educational opportunities and read professional publications.
  • Work with test teams to ensure adequate and appropriate test case coverage investigate and fix bugs facilitate and manage the quality process.
  • Coordinate work across various teams in a complex environment.

Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the software industry developing enterprise grade, web-based applications and/or distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, Google or other cloud platforms
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Experience leading software initiatives either in a Team Lead or Architect capacity.
  • Experience developing near real-time applications.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevOps, and Cybersecurity.
Position Criteria:
  • Extensive experience utilizing best practices in software engineering.
  • Expert level skills in C# and Visual Studio.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts.
  • Solid understanding of network and distributed computing concepts.
  • Fundamental understanding of highly available systems, system uptime targets, and disaster recovery principles.
  • Thorough understanding of relational and non-relational database systems.
  • Extensive experience with Agile development methodologies and concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain and present technical concepts.
  • Abreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologies.
