RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client seeking a Technical Support Engineer on a long contract basis.

Summary:In this role, the Technical Support Engineer will be tasked with providing support for all the organizations customers, as well as will be responsible for troubleshooting issues in many areas such as, mechanical, hardware, software issues, network analysis and user related questions. The role will support calls via phone, e-mail, direct consultation and assures prompt, and professional service to our customers by effective communication, timely follow-up and technical expertise. The Technical Support Engineer will be the initial point of contact for all computer and system related customer solution, provide technical support solving problems, and complete detailed reports listing technical assistance requests creating documentation to assist internal staff and customers to better understand troubleshooting of products and features. Furthermore, the Technical Support Engineer will research, diagnose and troubleshoot customer technical support system issues to resolve in a timely manner and prioritize and manage several open issues at one time, while quickly determining if issues are more complex and need to be escalated.

REQUIREMENTS: Associate degree with 2 years of experience working with computer hardware/software troubleshooting is required Certification in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco or similar technologies is preferred 2+ years of work experience in a technical support role with direct customer contact is required Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office & Operating Systems is required Must have understanding and strong troubleshooting experience with computer hardware Must have excellent verbal & written communication skills Strong knowledge of SQL & Oracle is preferred Experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments is nice to have

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
