In this role, you will deliver great customer service to all PennDOT Welcome Center stakeholders (traveling public, tourism industry partners, internal customers, employees, vendors, etc.). Provide travelers with key information regarding their visit to Pennsylvania. This includes directions and hotel accommodations to increase and stimulate travel across Pennsylvania. Improve PennDOT's tourism outreach efforts and strengthen our partnerships with the industry through: special programming, information tours, travel shows, and related events. Participate in other travel-support duties assigned by supervisor or division manager. Maintain energetic and knowledgeable communications to improve Welcome Center Division operations. Provide direct communication with the Tourist Information Supervisor to communicate questions, concerns, and ideas regarding Welcome Center staff and operations.Interested in learning more? Hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Work hours are temporarily 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

This position reports to work during periods of inclement weather, unless directed otherwise, as part of PennDOT's mission is to serve the traveling public.

The Location of the PennDOT Welcome Center is: I-70 West Welcome Center, mile West of PA/MD Border, Warfordsburg, PA 17267

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience in work involving public contact; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:You must be willing and able to work in and commute to Fulton County PennDOT Welcome Center: I-70 Westbound, 1/2 Mile West of PA/MD Border, Warfordsburg, PA 17267.

You must have one year of customer service experience

You must have one year of work experience involving public contact

You must have experience working with computers.

You must have experience answering phones, composing emails; compiling reports; tracking office activities and inventory; data entry; and filing.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
