This involves verifying grades, elevations, and the layout of structures and roadways in collaboration with contractors and surveyors. Additionally, you will generate necessary reports for project documentation and analyze results to monitor progress and timelines. You will also track and verify material quantities and testing through both manual and computerized methods. Engaging with Department personnel, various federal, state, and local agencies, legislators, and the public is essential to ensure the efficient management of transportation construction projects. Furthermore, you will aid in addressing any field construction issues that arise and inspect the application of materials such as cement concrete, bituminous concrete, drainage materials, and other relevant materials used in transportation construction. Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
You will work closely with vendors and work hours may change based on vendor availability.
Limited travel may be required.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year of experience in highway or bridge surveying, design, construction, or inspection work; or
One year of experience in quality control of materials or building or construction industry experience, which includes reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, or schematics; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:
This particular position requires possession of a valid Class C driver's license
