The Upward Bound Programs (UBP) School Success Coordinator (SSC) will work with low-income, first-generation high school students in grades 9-12 at Altoona High School (AHS). The SSC will supplement the work done by the UBP full-time Program Advisor assigned to AHS and provide academic support and programming for UBP students through to graduation and post-secondary institution enrollment. The School Success Coordinator may meet with students and participate in programming throughout the academic year, including Saturday Academies. There is also a possibility these duties could be extended during Summer Academies.This is a part-time position funded for approximately eight hours per month. The position includes maintaining all required program paperwork and documentation. Additional requirements include the SSC must be a staff person working within Altoona School District holding a current K-12 teaching or guidance certification and obtain all necessary clearances.The Pennsylvania State University is committed to and accountable for advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and sustainability in all of its forms.
