In this position, you will maintain efficient operations of steam and gas-fired boilers under normal and emergency conditions. Your duties will include utilizing manual and automatic control operations systems, reading and interpreting visual and aural gauges, and performing maintenance and operational assessments. You can expect to clean and maintain equipment and make minor repairs to ensure proper functionality. Additionally, you will test the boiler water chemistry and water softening system while maintaining logs of the tests performed, as well as keep inventory of water treatment chemicals, reagents, and supplies needed for testing.Interested in learning more? Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
Work hours are 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Tuesday - Saturday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $46,986.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Three years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of a steam or hot water generating plant, or a steam and electric generating plant;or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
