- Conducts testing activities to ensure that Morgan Corporation creates the most efficient truck bodies in the world.
- Supports Engineering on projects and challenges through testing, evaluation, and in-plant studies as required. This may require travel to other Morgan facilities.
- Develops new test programs to support the Purchasing, Warranty, and Production departments.
- Utilizes established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data.
- Applies research theories, principles, and models when conducting experiments and research activities.
- Design test fixtures for product evaluation as necessary.
- Writes technical reports and summarizes by detailing procedures, outcomes, and observations.
- Maintains the test log and manages and organizes incoming test requests.
- Assesses the scope of research projects and ensures projects are on time and within budget.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of related manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of fundamental fabrication skills including welding and machining
- Proficiency in using measuring devices including tape measure, dial calipers, and micrometers
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Working in an office environment in a seated position a minimum of eight hours per day is required. Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday.
