Job Description

The Mission:

The VP of Sales, Agile will grow the Agile offering - a high value, cost-effective approach to quick turnaround research. They will be responsible for bringing in new business and growing existing accounts. As the leading global expert for Agile research, this role will champion Agile solutions and products to best fit our client’s needs. Duties include engaging with current and prospect clients across a defined target base and meeting financial goals, involvement in business development marketing campaigns, and contributing Agile expertise across the global organization. This is the ideal role for someone who is driven by their own success, a strong networker and an effective communicator.

This is an active outside sales role for a strong hunter, networker, and effective closer.

  • Drive current and new Agile product awareness across M3 GR client base by championing our Agile products.
  • Prospect and sell Agile solutions working in tandem with the Global Sales team by developing Agile sales strategies for both marketing approaches, prospecting, and partnership building while maintaining our high-quality standards.
  • Support maintenance of existing business by managing contracts and cross-sell opportunities; develop insightful proposals; deliver strategic sales communications and consulting with clients on Agile sample design.
  • Seek out and source new clients by developing networks and independently identifying and developing relevant resources for sales and business development.
  • Manage bid requests and ensure proper and timely delivery.
  • Consult with Marketing for Agile material execution for internal and client audiences across all mediums including social media and business development campaigns.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, developing and implementing high-impact thought leadership communications that demonstrate the value and relevance of our Agile offering.
  • Schedule and conduct internal and external project kick off calls, to discuss the scope and background details with the project delivery teams.
  • Attend client meetings to consult on M3GR’s capabilities and expertise in Agile fieldwork.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure top level client experience in all cases of client interactions from delivery to needs assessments.
  • Manage and support pharmaceutical client relationships for Agile projects.
  • Maintain personal financial goals, delivering on target revenue and profit per quarter.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare market research experience required.
  • Business development experience required. Proven business development experience in direct sales with above $2.5M individual goal (yearly).
  • Strong aptitude for relationship management and business development.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with all levels within the organization.
  • The ability to effectively present information to clients, employees, and management.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills; the ability to quickly solve problems as they present as well as proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • A self-motivated individual with exceptional time management, organizational skills, and self-discipline.
  • Uses the CRM (HubSpot) proficiently to log all sales activity – calls, bids, meetings. Updates contact and company information as required. Able to correctly move a project through the deal cycle and manage pipeline. Produces, maintains, and disseminates to internal teams well written, informed Account Plans. Can use the CRM to identify lapsed, underperforming accounts to target and contact.
  • Takes full ownership of individual financial goals. Able to provide an accurate weekly and monthly sales forecast when requested.
  • Understands research methods and methodologies. Comprehends client objectives and can offer guidance around the service/product options available to our clients. Speaks confidently when delivering a bid to a customer.
  • Has a good understanding of the competitive landscape. Keeps informed as to industry updates and networks effectively to identify new business opportunities.
  • Handles objections well and can effectively position the M3 offering and brand to prospective clients. Able to consultatively and actively listens to the needs and objectives of prospective clients throughout the sales cycle. Able to succinctly and clearly deliver the M3 elevator pitch.
