Join us as we digitally connect the world and shape the future.The RoleThe VP Lumen Digital Platform Engineering is a key leadership role responsible for driving the strategic vision, development, and execution of Lumen’s digital platform. This role requires a dynamic and innovative leader with a deep understanding of digital transformation, engineering excellence, and product development. This leader will frequently collaborate cross-functionally with other senior leaders including Marketing, AGT, Operations, IT, and Product to ensure work is aligned with key stakeholders and customer needs.LocationThis is an US Work from Home position.The Main Responsibilities

Drive the strategic vision and execution of Lumen Digital engineering initiatives to enhance system integrations and interoperability.

Oversee the development and maintenance of the Lumen digital platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and user satisfaction.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, AGT, and customer support to deliver cohesive and impactful solutions that meet customer needs.

Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure program and platform success to drive data-informed decision making.

Partner with Product and IT leaders to create best in class digital experiences, serve as customer/user advocate in considering digital decisions that impact our customers

Responsible for leading and managing teams dedicated to Automated Process Improvements (API). This includes overseeing the identification, design, and implementation of automation solutions to streamline and enhance business processes.

Evaluate and optimize the tooling ecosystem for engineering and data science teams.

Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Lumen remains competitive and innovative.

Manage and mentor a high-performing team, promoting continuous improvement.

Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, teamwork, trust, and excellence.

Monitor the progress of automation projects, provide guidance and support to team members, and ensure that all improvements are integrated seamlessly into existing workflows to maximize efficiency and productivity.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or equivalent strongly preferred.

15+ years in product development, technology design, and/or application engineering with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role.

Extensive experience in the technology sector, with a deep understanding of API/engineering and digital platform development.

Proven track record of leading and managing large, cross-functional teams, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic priorities and initiatives that align with business needs.

Strong technical background with software development, system architecture, platform maintenance, and emerging technologies.

Lead efforts to evaluate best in class customer experiences outside of Lumen’s industry to find ways to incorporate familiar and frictionless experiences into our products.

Compensation"This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.
