Job Title: VSG Deployment Engineer

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Duration: 12 Months

Job Responsibilities and Skillsets:The VSG Deployment Engineer is responsible for deploying VSG servers throughout the Client head end enterprise, across all three Client divisions, and all US timezones. Utilizing the VSG Plan of Record and required tools, the VSG Deployment Engineer will execute the VSG deployment process to successful completion. This process requires understanding and mastery of the following tools:- The Client Workflow ticketing system.- The Client Port Allocation Tool.- The Client CRAN BOM Tool.- Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Sharepoint.- Ping, Tracert, NETSTAT

The candidate should possess the following technical skills:- Proficiency in MS Excel.- Ability to manage multiple methods of communication.- Proficiency in the use of onlineweb-based tools.- Familiarity with the use of scripts and how to set up scripting environments.- Ability to review and validate documentation.- Familiarity with (or willingness to learn) HPE and Dell rackmount server hardware and the head end environment.- Familiarity with fiber-optic technology, i.e. optical transceivers, fiber and fiber connect standards, and router port standardsnomenclature.- Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of technical, clerical, and managerial teams across all of Comcast.- Familiarity with basic network troubleshooting, using the above noted network tools.
