Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand specifications and instructions

Cutting metal into the correct shape and prepare materials for welding. They may also grind and clean metal.

Using torches and power supplies to heat, melt, and mix metals to create a joint. They may use manual, semi-automatic, electric, gas, or spot welding equipment.

Inspecting materials and structures for welding, and test and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.

Maintaining welding equipment and machinery, and ensure they are in a safe condition.

The essential functions of this role include:

wearing steel toe shoes

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time
