Our client in the Philadelphia area is looking for a

Windows Systems Administrator to join their team. This is a 3+ month contract opportunity with extension or permanent conversion possible with a very well-known organization.

Position Description:

  • Windows Systems Administration, ensuring that they are operating properly on a 24/7 basis.
  • Windows Server Administration (physical and virtual servers - mostly virtual but some physical servers as well)
  • Installation, Configuration and troubleshooting experience
  • Large enterprise environment with 3k+ Windows servers (6k total servers), and by nature of the business, needs to be running continually.
  • The systems cannot be down so if it has issues, you must work on getting them resolved.
  • You will be working on a joint team of Windows and Linux Systems Administrators, so you will have an opportunity to learn basic Linux Systems help as well when the Linux team is busy or unavailable.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years' experience

    in an enterprise-level environment with at least 600 servers
  • Windows Systems hands-on a must
  • Active Directory
  • 3-4 versions of operating system - hands-on experience with 2008 and newer
  • VMware or virtualization
  • Patch management including WSUS Microsoft's native patching tool, how to troubleshoot if patches aren't working correctly.
