We are currently seeking an Analyst to join the Compliance team in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting the business expansion in the region and have an opportunity to benefit from a challenging yet rewarding professional environment that CPP Investment offers.

Reporting to a Managing Director, Compliance, the successful candidate will join a dynamic team of high-performing legal and compliance professionals who engage directly with senior leadership and business units to help them navigate, understand and comply with legal and regulatory requirements in a manner consistent with our Guiding Principles and our mandate to manage the funds of the Canada Pension Plan in the best interests of 20 million CPP contributors and beneficiaries.

Role Specific Accountabilities

  • Assist in supporting SFC licencing-related matters for individuals and entity, including working with external service providers
  • Support APAC Compliance team on projects, including relating to execution, documentation and implementation
  • Work closely with global Legal and Compliance team, to provide advice and deliver support to the business for a broad range of matters, including enterprise risk, regulatory reporting, personal investment, deal risk assessments, and Code of Conduct-related matters
  • Support the operation of the regional Compliance training program
  • Assist in supporting corporate governance and relevant meetingsfor SFC licensed operations
  • Ad hoc and project work on other Compliance matters, from time to time

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or above, especially in Law, Economics, Business, Accounting, Finance or Management
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in financial services, consulting, investment management, accounting or similar
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work cooperatively with many different stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Strong organizational skills; detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects towards tight schedules
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision, but also a team player
  • Professional conduct reflecting the quality of work, ethical values and high standards of CPP Investments
  • Demonstrated strong English communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. Mandarin would be an asset.
